I cannot say enough regarding the impact that Divine Mercy Catholic Academy has had on my life.  To begin, DMCA provided me with an incredibly strong academic foundation.  I feel as though every one of my teachers took the time to truly gain an understanding of my personal strengths and weaknesses, along with those of my fellow classmates, in order to recognize and teach toward many different learning styles.  This ensured that each student was given the opportunity to be successful.  In addition to being prepared academically for high school and beyond, Divine Mercy also prepared me for many other aspects of life by cultivating a supportive community in which I was able to strengthen my ethical values and faith in God.  These are the lessons that are truly invaluable during such formative years and the lessons that make the Divine Mercy education and experience so unique.  These are also the lessons that, I believe, have led me to become the person and nurse I am today.  For the education and moral foundation I received from Divine Mercy, I am forever grateful.

Savannah Hicks, BSN, RN

I graduated MIHS (2013) with a 4.53 GPA, class rank 6th of 356, and was a National Merit Scholar. I graduated summa cum laude with my BS in Civil Engineering from The University of Alabama, with a 4.0 GPA (2017). While there I was selected as the Outstanding Senior for the College of Engineering. I was also very involved in the Catholic Student Center, spending 2 years leading retreats and music. I'm currently pursuing my MS in Civil Engineering at UT Austin and have a 4.0 GPA (set to graduate this December).

The Divine Mercy community has been incredibly formative to me throughout my whole life, but the foundation of that was certainly my experience at Divine Mercy Catholic Academy. In my time as a student at Divine Mercy, I learned the value of friendship, mentorship, education, and a strong Catholic faith. Not only was I taught these things, I was shown them by the faculty and staff. The close-knit community at Divine Mercy has continued to support me, in prayer and otherwise, throughout my life since graduating from the school. I love coming to mass whenever I visit home, seeing old friends and teachers, reminiscing and catching up. I'm very grateful for the lasting sense of belonging that my experience at Divine Mercy instilled in me.

"Divine Mercy is an exceptional place where you gain not only a top-flight education rooted in faith but also lifelong friends. Coming from Divine Mercy, I was extremely well prepared entering high school. The lessons I learned and the relationships I made during my years at DMCS remain with me today and I am extremely thankful to the faculty & staff that helped make my experience so rewarding."

"Divine Mercy Catholic Academy was 'home away from home' for our two children who attended from age 4 until graduation in eight grade. In addition to an education which consistently placed them ahead of their peers, DMCA instilled in our children a strong foundation of community, faith and service which is shining bright in them today. There are many educational options to choose from, but for us, nothing could outweigh the value of a good education in an environment where love, prayer and compassion are just as important as a grade."
